The minister of energy, mining and mineral resources, Sanja Bozhinovska met today with Ana Dukovska, president and co-founder of the association “I am a woman”—an organization aimed at helping women build strong professional networks and receive mentorship from experienced leaders—and Valentina Disoska, president of the Association of business women.
The three speakers—women with strong vision and proven achievements—discussed initiatives to promote greater representation of women in the energy sector and the business community, with a shared conclusion: it is time for more women to enter the spaces whereas energy and economic decisions are being made.
“At the Ministry, we support every initiative that gives space and voice to women in energy. This sector demands vision, knowledge, and courage—and women have exactly that. It’s time for their expertise and leaders’ potential to be visible in the energy field. We are not asking for quotas, but for quality”, minister Sanja Bozhinovska stated.
Valentina Disoska emphasized that the institutional support is crucial:
“It is especially significant that a minister like Sanja Bozhinovska actively engages in such initiatives. This is a true example of how women in decision-making positions can open space for others”.
Ana Dukovska added a powerful message:
“Strong women must unite and work together. Only then will we build a generation of women who won’t ask if they can—but will show that they can”.
The meeting concluded with an agreement for further cooperation within specific programs and events that will increase the visibility and role of the women in energy, innovation and business.
