Goran Jovanovski, born in 1976, is an experienced lawyer with more than 16 years of commitment in the public sector, management of institutions and projects and over 10 years in the private sector. Since August 2024, he has been serving as State Secretary in the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources of the Republic of North Macedonia, where he actively manages administrative officials, contributes to the improvement of energy policy and the management of national resources.
Jovanovski, a law graduate, has more than 16 years of experience in management positions in state institutions, where he successfully coordinated projects and development initiatives. Among his significant previous positions, his appointment as a cabinet officer in the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, as well as the position of secretary in the Municipality of Brvenica, stand out. In addition, he has extensive experience in the Employment Agency, where he managed sectors for active and passive measures for the unemployed, improvement of human resources and rights of the unemployed. Jovanovski is known for his extensive experience in the field of labor and social policy. From 2008 to 2011, he was the Director of the State Labor Inspectorate at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, where he advocated for the improvement of workers' rights, safety and health at work.
These positions allowed him to gain a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of the Macedonian labor market, as well as the importance of supporting the unemployed and their social security.
As part of his international experience, Mr. Jovanovski stands out as the Macedonian representative at the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work in Bilbao, Spain, where he actively worked on the harmonization of Macedonian standards with EU regulations in the field of worker safety.
Mr. Jovanovski's competencies include excellent organizational and coordination skills, as well as significant experience in managing teams, projects and budgets. He also possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, acquired through many years of working in multicultural and complex environments.
With his expertise and dedication, Jovanovski continues to contribute to the efficient management and development of the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, working to implement reforms and improve energy efficiency and protect the natural resources of North Macedonia.
