The Ministry of energy, mining and mineral resources has supported the establishment of a Technical Support Unit (TSU) aimed at assisting in the coordination of the energy transition process.
The TSU will be a key link in connecting all relevant stakeholders: state institutions, public enterprises, the private sector, trade unions, regulatory bodies and international partners. “With the establishment of this Unit, we are establishing a clear system for supporting the entire process, coordination, monitoring and dialogue with all stakeholders. The goal is to ensure an accelerated and more organized transition, with concrete results and full accountability to the public”, minister Sanja Bozhinovska said.
“The process of just transition is complex and requires full coordination, responsibility and joint work. Our country has the ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and to abandon coal as a resource for electricity production. But it is equally important to ensure that no community or individual is left behind”, minister Bozhinovska emphasized.
The ETP will operate under the supervision of the Ministry of energy, and it includes experts from areas such as energy, communications and project management.
“Only through systematic and transparent approach we can ensure the trust of citizens and the support of all stakeholders. The establishment of this Unit is a step forward in building a strong institutional foundation for a successful and just energy transition”, minister Bozhinovska added.
