The minister of energy, mining and mineral resources, Sanja Bozhinovska held a working meeting with the mayor of Bitola, Toni Konjanovski, whereas the opportunities for expanding the institutional cooperation and realization for joint developing priorities in the coming period were reviewed.
The discussions focused on energy efficiency projects as a key instrument for reducing the expenses at the local level, modernizing public infrastructure and creating a more sustainable urban environment. Both sides agreed that the municipalities play a vital role in the energy transition, and that state support must be transformed into concrete and measurable results for the citizens.
Minister Bozhinovska pointed out that the partnership between the central and local government is a precondition for effective implementation of energy reforms.
„Energy efficiency is a direct investment in quality of life. Our goal is for every municipality to gain real opportunities for modernization, lower expenses and sustainable local development “, Bozhinovska stressed.
It was agreed at the meeting to continue coordinated activities between the Ministry and the municipality of Bitola, with the implementation of projects that will bring long-term benefits to citizens and the local economy.
The meeting reaffirms the commitment to direct institutional cooperation toward concrete solutions– more energy-efficient municipalities, responsible resource management and visible results on the ground.
