Bozhinovska held a meeting with high-level representatives of the UN, UNDP and the EU: Strong support for energy security and reform processes

The minister of energy, mining and mineral resources, Sanja Bozhinovska held a working meeting with high-level representatives of the UN, UNDP and EU in the country, focusing on energy stability. The meeting was attended by the United Nations Resident Coordinator in North Macedonia, Rita Columbia as well as the UNDP Resident Representative for the Republic of North Macedonia, Armen Grigoryan and the Head of the Cooperation in the EU Delegation to North Macedonia, Steffen Hudolin.

At the meeting, the upcoming plans of the Ministry regarding planned projects and activities for securing a safe and sustainable energy future were discussed.

The representatives of the UN, UNDP and EU expressed strong support for planned projects of the Ministry focused on creating conditions for energy security, acknowledging the efforts that the Ministry undertakes for consistent implementation of reform processes in relation to the Reform Agenda.

The need for expanding cooperation in the field of energy transition and realization of projects from the energy sector aimed at environmental, economic and social sustainability was jointly acknowledged.

The high-level representatives of the UN, UNDP and the EU highlighted the commitment of the Ministry for achieving the vision of a clear, just and sustainable energy future and expressed readiness to assist in the implementation of the necessary steps along that path.
