The Ministry of energy, mining and mineral resources held a workshop for building capacities of the municipality administration in preparing programs for energy efficiency.
The event was realized within the project „Support of energy reforms in the Republic of North Macedonia “, with financial support of EU Delegation. The workshop was aimed at securing bigger understanding and practical knowledge for the legal obligations of the municipalities, preparation and implementation of the programs for energy efficiency, as well as mechanisms for financing their implementation.
Through presentations, practical exercises and discussions, the participants received detailed guidelines for preparation of program for energy efficiency, annual plan for implementation, as well as preparation of report for realization from the previous year. Additionally, the methodology for calculating the indicative potential for energy savings and approaches for determination of profitability of the suggested measures were presented.
Representatives from the Ministry and the project team opened the workshop, and during the whole day participants worked with the experts from the country and the international project team.
The Ministry will continue with activities for strengthening institutional capacities and securing consistent implementation of European standards in the field of energy efficiency.
