Pursuant to Article 39, paragraph (1) of the Energy Law (“Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia” No. 101/25 and 135/25), which stipulates that “the Ministry shall conduct a risk assessment of factors that may affect the security of gas supply in the Republic of North Macedonia. At the request of the Ministry, the assessment shall be prepared by the gas transmission system operator, following prior consultation with the gas distribution system operator, gas suppliers and traders, gas consumers, electricity producers, the electricity transmission system operator, as well as the Energy Regulatory Commission.”
Based on the cooperation so far with the engaged experts from the European Commission, to which both public and private institutions involved in and affected by the process of natural gas supply and use have contributed, a draft version of the Gas Supply Risk Assessment has been prepared.
On this basis, all interested stakeholders are invited to participate in a public hearing, during which they may submit their comments and remarks.
The public hearing will be held at the premises of the Ministry of energy, mining and mineral resources on 15th of April 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30.
