As part of the official visit to the United States of America, the minister of energy, mining and mineral resources, Sanja Bozhinovska held a meeting at the White House with Jarrod Agen, Deputy Assistant to President Donald Trump and Executive director of the U.S. National Energy Dominance Council.
The meeting took place in an open and substantive dialogue, with a clearly defined focus on strategic priorities and concrete directions for advancing cooperation. Both sides assessed the meeting as particularly productive and useful.
Jarrod Agen is a senior official with significant role in the development and coordination of U.S. energy policies, with direct insight into the strategic priorities and developing processes in the sector. His experience and understanding of the global energy trends represent an important foundation for the development of future partnerships and projects.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the energy sector with an emphasis on:
• energy security and stability of supply;
• diversification of energy sources;
• development of strategic infrastructure projects of mutual interest.
Minister Bozhinovska emphasized the readiness of North Macedonia to deepen cooperation and implement concrete initiatives, highlighting that the partnership with the United States represents a significant factor for the long-term stability and development of the energy sector.
The executive director of the U.S. National Energy Dominance Council, Agen, noted that there are so many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries that could transform the region’s energy landscape for decades to come.
Both sides agreed that there is clear potential to intensify cooperation, with a focus on projects that will deliver concrete results and will contribute to economic development and energy security in both countries.
This meeting is part of the series of bilateral meetings of minister Bozhinovska, as part of the high-level government delegation attending the second session of the Strategic
dialogue between the two countries, whereas discussions are underway on enhancing cooperation with the United States across several key areas: energy, economy, security and technology.
