The minister of energy, mining and mineral resources, Sanja Bozhinovska held a working meeting today with Nicole Varnes, Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in the country.
The exceptional importance of the Strategic partnership between North Macedonia and United States as a key driver for strengthening institutional cooperation, economic development and the long-term stability of the country was emphasized at the meeting.
Chargé d’Affaires Varnes welcomed minister Bozhinovska’s efforts toward systematic consolidation of the energy sector and its alignment with European standards. Within this context, it was discussed for more strategic projects in energy, aimed at ensuring a secure, sustainable and competitive energy future for the country.
Minister Bozhinovska expressed gratitude for the continuous and strong support that the Republic of North Macedonia receives from United States in key areas, including the implementation of energy reforms and support for the green transition in the country.
„The Strategic partnership with the United States represents a solid foundation for building a stable economy, modern energy system and strong institutions. Our commitment is clear-reforms, transparency and sustainable development in citizens’ interest “, minister Bozhinovska emphasized.
Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to further expanding economic cooperation, intensifying investment activities and promoting democratic values, as well as their joint efforts in ensuring regional peace, stability and security.
The meeting represents one more confirmation of the strong and stable partnership between North Macedonia and the United States, aimed at long-term progress and prosperity of the country.
