The minister of energy, mining and mineral resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, held a series of working meetings today with international partners aimed at deepening cooperation and exchanging experiences in the energy and mining sectors.
At the meeting with the ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of North Macedonia, Ola Sohlström, discussions focused on intensifying bilateral cooperation in the mining sector, including the exchange of best practices from Swedish experts and cooperation with Macedonian universities to enhance technical and scientific capacities. Additionally, topics related to the development of renewables and projects for improving ambient air quality as part of the commitments for sustainable economic development and green transition were reviewed at the meeting.
Minister Bozhinovska also met with the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Özlem Canel, with whom she discussed advancing cooperation in the energy sector, including support for renewable energy sources and strengthening energy efficiency.
Both parties emphasized the importance of continuous expert cooperation and the exchange of innovative solutions between the two countries.
Bozhinovska also met with the representatives of the Strategic and Social Research Foundation – Marmara Group. The focus of the discussion was the organization of the 29th Eurasian Economic Summit and the official invitation extended to the minister Bozhinovska to participate in the Summit. The investment opportunities in solar energy, as well as actual activities and plans of the Ministry of energy were also discussed at the meeting.
Minister Bozhinovska highlighted the importance of these meetings for promoting North Macedonia as a modern, investment-attractive and environmentally responsible country that continuously improves its energy, and mining sectors and strengthens regional cooperation.
