Support for New Energy Projects and Strengthening Strategic Planning – Meeting Between Bozhinovska and Klaus Müller from KfW Bank

Support for New Energy Projects and Strengthening Strategic Planning – Meeting Between Bozhinovska and Klaus Müller from KfW Bank

As part of the ESG Adria Summit 2025 held in Tivat, Montenegro, the Minister of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, along with the Chief Financial Officer of ESM AD, Ivan Stojanovski, held a working meeting with Klaus Müller, Director of KfW Bank for Southeast Europe and Turkey.

The meeting focused on the progress and further implementation of several strategic projects: the second phase of the Bogdanci Wind Park, the photovoltaic power plant "Bitola 2," and the third phase of the revitalization of large hydroelectric power plants.

"These projects not only increase domestic electricity production but also strengthen the entire energy system of the country. The partnership with KfW Bank is a significant boost for the transformation towards sustainable energy," emphasized Minister Bozhinovska.

Special attention was given to new initiatives for technical assistance aimed at improving the internal capacities of ESM AD, for medium-term and strategic planning, with a focus on investment projects.

KfW Bank confirmed its commitment as a strategic partner and will continue supporting new projects, including the "Bitola 3" photovoltaic power plant and other investments in renewable energy sources.

Projects implemented with KfW support directly contribute to enriching the portfolio of renewable energy sources in North Macedonia and ensuring long-term energy stability and security.

Respectfully,

Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources
