The Ministry of energy, mining and mineral resources actively participates at the Ministerial meeting on the integration of gas and electricity markets within the regional initiative for energy connectivity of Central and South-Eastern Europe (CESEC).
Ministers and representatives from EU Commission have gathered on 27th-28th of October in Bucharest at the 10th Annual Ministerial meeting of CESEC, marking the tenth anniversary of the regional efforts for energy cooperation.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of CESEC partners to advance these shared goals through continued cooperation within the updated Action plans for gas, electricity and renewable energy.
North Macedonia is one of the signatories of the Memorandum for understanding of CESEC with its Action plan in 2015, when two strategic projects were proposed for gas connection-one with Greece and another with Bulgaria. The gas interconnector with Greece is already in the construction phase.
