Minister of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, and State Secretary Goran Jovanovski paid a working visit to the Municipality of Jegunovce, a significant center for mineral resource exploitation, covering 176.93 km² and home to over 8,000 residents. Several companies in the municipality hold concessions for mineral resource exploitation, granted by the Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources. These concessions contribute to local economic development and provide substantial revenue for the municipal budget.
In a meeting with the Mayor of Jegunovce, Dimitar Kostadinoski, discussions were held regarding ongoing and future projects related to mining and mineral exploitation in the region.
Minister Bozhinovska and Mayor Kostadinoski emphasized the importance of sustainable management of natural resources, adherence to environmental standards, and safety protocols in mineral exploitation. Additionally, the need for transparency and collaboration between local authorities and concessionaires was stressed, in order to maximize benefits for the community.
The Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources remains committed to supporting municipalities like Jegunovce by providing expert assistance and oversight in enforcing legal obligations related to mining and mineral resource exploitation.
Respectfully,
Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources
