The Minister of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, held a working meeting today with the newly appointed Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Paolo Palminteri. The meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm the continuous bilateral cooperation and discuss opportunities for further advancement of joint initiatives.
Minister Bozhinovska emphasized the importance of cooperation with Italy as one of North Macedonia’s strategic partners. She noted that the successful bilateral relations so far are a solid foundation for strengthening energy ties between the two countries, particularly in terms of investments in renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and infrastructure modernization.
Ambassador Palminteri expressed readiness to deepen cooperation and support initiatives that contribute to energy security and sustainable development. He emphasized that Italian companies are interested in participating in energy projects in North Macedonia and highlighted the importance of sharing experiences and technologies as a key component of the energy transition.
In this direction, the Ambassador informed Minister Bozhinovska that a Macedonian-Italian business forum will be organized in North Macedonia during the year, where energy will be one of the main topics. The forum will gather many companies from Italy and North Macedonia, representing an excellent opportunity to exchange information and strengthen cooperation.
Both interlocutors agreed that the traditionally strong relations between North Macedonia and Italy represent a solid foundation for further cooperation. The Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources remains committed to attracting new investments and implementing projects that will contribute to the country’s energy stability and economic development.
Respectfully,
