The Ministry of energy, mining and mineral resources began paying out financial support to beneficiaries of the previous subsidy program during July 2025.
The funds were paid to 311 households with one or more children with disabilities and to 94 foster families. The payment was made for the months of March, April, May, June and July.
The funds for the months of March, April, May and June were transferred at once. If the transferred funds cover the amount of the electricity bill, the rest is transferred to the next month and is recorded as a prepayment.
There are ongoing applications for two financial support programs:
Support for vulnerable electricity consumers for 2025 – for households with one or more persons with severe or profound intellectual disabilities, with the most severe physical disabilities, a completely blind person or a completely deaf person. The financial support amounts to 1,000 denars per month for 12 months, through a reduction in the electricity bill.
Program for the purchase and installation of inverter air conditioners – for households that meet the conditions set out in the public announcement, in order to reduce electricity consumption and improve energy efficiency.
A total of 170 million denars have been provided for the implementation of this measure:
· 120 million denars for low-income households;
· 50 million denars for households whose only income is a pension.
Each household that is selected will receive a purchased and installed inverter air conditioner with a power of 3.5 kW and an energy class of at least A+, as part of the measures for energy efficiency and reduction of energy costs.
The Ministry appeals to all citizens who meet the conditions to apply in a timely manner and take advantage of this opportunity to reduce electricity costs.
