The Ministry of energy, mining and mineral resources has published the Public call for expressing interest by legal entities engaged in the trade of highly efficient inverter air conditioners, marking the beginning of the practical implementation of the Programme for protection of vulnerable energy consumers.
The primary goal of the public call is to provide direct support to households that fall under the category of vulnerable energy consumers, through the issuance of confirmation-vouchers for the procurement and installation of highly efficient inverter air conditioners.
Under the programme, each household receiving a voucher will be able to procure and install highly efficient inverter air conditioners valued up to 28.000 denars including VAT, from companies that will conclude a contract with the Ministry following the implementation of the public call.
All legal entities registered in the Central Register of the Republic of North Macedonia that trade highly efficient inverter air conditioners are eligible to participate. Selected companies will be required to provide units with at least energy class А+, installation at the beneficiary’s address, and a minimum two-year warranty, with no additional costs for citizens.
The Ministry invites all interested companies to actively participate in the implementation of the programme and contribute to its successful realization.
This measure represents a concrete step toward reducing energy poverty and improving energy efficiency in households, ensuring more economical and sustainable heating for citizens who are most in need of support.

After the completion of the procedure under the Public call and the publication of the list of companies with which the Ministry will conclude contracts, the lists of individuals who have acquired the right to use this subsidy will be published simultaneously.
This will create the conditions to immediately begin the process of issuing vouchers and procuring and installing the highly efficient inverter air conditioners, without additional administrative delays, in order to ensure timely and efficient implementation of the measure in the interest of the citizens.
