The Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozinovska, held a working meeting today with the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to North Macedonia, Veronique Hulmann Marty.
The strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, with a special emphasis on renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and technical support for the implementation of strategic projects were the topics discussed at the meeting.
Minister Bozinovska stressed the importance of the Swiss support in the energy transition process and expressed gratitude for the cooperation so far.
"Cooperation in the energy sector is key to the sustainable development of our country. We believe that through joint projects we will provide cleaner energy and a better quality of life for the citizens", minister Bozinovska said.
Ambassador Hulmann Marty emphasized Switzerland's readiness to continue supporting the reform processes in the energy sector and to contribute to strengthening institutional capacities. She also emphasized the importance of partnership in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
Both sides agreed that future cooperation will focus on joint projects that will contribute to sustainable economic development and energy security of Macedonia.
This meeting is a confirmation of the strong partnership between Macedonia and Switzerland and the joint commitment for improving the energy sector in accordance with European standards.
