The Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources and the Association of Licensed Energy Auditors of Macedonia (ZLEK) signed a memorandum of cooperation that opens new opportunities for promoting and advancing energy efficiency in the country.
The goal is to accelerate the enhancement of energy regulation and expert support by combining institutional and professional expertise. The memorandum outlines activities such as the promotion of energy efficiency, information exchange, technical support, and the organization of forums, trainings, and events.
“By combining expertise and resources, we will work to improve legislation and create tangible benefits for citizens. This partnership is our commitment to a more efficient future,” emphasized Minister of Energy Sanja Bozhinovska.
ZLEK President, MSc Vesna Nedelkovska, stated: “Cooperation with the Ministry will enable more effective use of our knowledge and expertise. Joint activities will contribute to important steps in affirming energy efficiency.”
The Association of Licensed Energy Auditors of Macedonia (ZLEK) is a professional organization focused on promoting and improving energy efficiency by ensuring that energy audits are performed by appropriately trained and authorized auditors relevant to each market. They provide consulting services, professional analysis, and support for projects related to energy efficiency. Through its activities, ZLEK contributes to improving the legislative framework, educating professionals and the public, and implementing energy efficiency measures in North Macedonia.
This collaboration with the Ministry represents a significant step towards strengthening energy efficiency and sustainable development in the country’s energy sector, laying the foundation for innovative approaches in addressing energy challenges.
