The minister of energy, mining and mineral resources, Sanja Bozhinovska today addressed at the event „Solar day–clean energy in practice “, organized by the Agency for innovation and scientific-technological development and entrepreneurship–INOVA, marking January 26th–International day of clean energy.
In her speech, minister Bozhinovska emphasized that marking the International day of clean energy serves as a strong reminder for shared responsibility, but also of the strategic opportunity the country has in the process of energy transition toward a sustainable, secure, and modern energy system.
„Solar energy today is one of the most important pillars of the national energy transition. Macedonia has significant solar potential, and our clear strategic commitment is to maximize that potential–through a stable regulatory framework, support for investments, and an active role of the state “, Bozhinovska emphasized.

The minister emphasized that the Ministry is not only a regulator, but also an active driver of processes, focusing on state investments in solar capacities, energy storage systems, and strategic planning for decarbonization.
Her address also underlined the importance of partnership with the private sector, the academic community, and citizens, as an essential precondition for a successful and just energy transition.
„The energy transition is not a project of a single institution. It is a joint process that requires cooperation, knowledge and vision. Only in this way can we build modern, secure and sustainable energy system providing better life quality and cleaner environment “, minister Bozhinovska said.
