The Minister of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, met with the Ambassador of Japan to North Macedonia, H.E. Setuko Kawahara. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of sustainable energy, environmental technologies, and infrastructure projects.
Japan is a long-standing partner of North Macedonia and a significant supporter of green initiatives, energy sector modernization, and environmental protection. Minister Bozhinovska emphasized that Japan’s experience in clean technology and energy efficiency is particularly important for North Macedonia in its energy transition process.
"Japan is a country synonymous with innovation and sustainable development. The vision for clean energy and efficient resource use is something we also strive for in North Macedonia. I believe that through partnership, we can strengthen our capacities in renewable energy and introduce advanced technologies that will make our energy future more sustainable,” said Minister Bozhinovska.
Ambassador Kawahara reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to supporting projects in North Macedonia aimed at improving energy efficiency, protecting the environment, and developing technological solutions for better sustainability.
The meeting highlighted the need to deepen cooperation through new joint initiatives and programs that will contribute to the modernization of the energy sector and the creation of a cleaner environment in North Macedonia.
