Minister Bozhinovska in Baku: An Opportunity for North Macedonia to Secure New Green Investments

The Minister of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, as part of the high-level state delegation led by President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, is participating in COP29 – the 29th United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Baku, Azerbaijan. Also in the delegation is the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Izet Mejiti.

 

COP29 is a global event that brings together world leaders and experts from over 70 countries. This year's summit theme is "Investing in a Sustainable Future," with a focus on energy transformation and environmental protection through innovations and new technologies. This annual summit serves as a key platform for countries to coordinate efforts to reduce emissions and promote renewable energy sources.

 

Minister Bozhinovska emphasized the importance of participation in this summit, which presents an opportunity for North Macedonia to establish new international partnerships and secure new investments in renewable energy and sustainable energy infrastructure, contributing to the achievement of long-term climate goals and economic development.

 

"Such events allow us to exchange knowledge and experiences with the global community and provide an opportunity to establish collaborations that will contribute to our transition to green energy," said Bozhinovska.

 

The Macedonian delegation will actively work on establishing partnerships and potential investments that will enable innovative projects in the country, aiming to enhance energy independence and protect the environment.
