Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, will participate in the 9th Balkan Energy Summit in Athens, Greece, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Energy of Greece, the Ministry of Energy of Hungary, and the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of North Macedonia.
Bozhinovska will take part in the ministerial panel that officially opens the summit, and together with ministers from the region, she will discuss strengthening strategic energy cooperation in the Balkans. The discussions will focus on regional energy security, hybrid energy solutions, and the creation of a joint response to global challenges.
The President of the ERC, Marko Bislimoski, will present the national energy transition plan, highlighting the gradual shift from coal to hydrogen and natural gas — a process North Macedonia is leading as part of its long-term energy policy.
This year, the Balkan Energy Summit brings together over 40 speakers, including ministers, regulators, and leading figures from the energy industry. The event serves as a key business platform for strategic partnerships and the opening of new investment opportunities in the region’s energy sector.
Respectfully,
Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources
